Project Support Officer at the General Inheritance Fund

Are you a structured and self-driven case officer who wants to contribute to a better society for the General Inheritance Fund's four target groups – children, young people, elderly individuals, and persons with disabilities regardless of age? We are currently looking for someone to work as a project support officer with us.

The General Inheritance Fund finances hundreds of important development projects in the civil society each year, as well as the construction of facilities and premises for non-profit organizations, with a total of over one billion kronor annually. Examples of activities that have started or been established as inheritance fund projects include transportation services, personal assistance, the help line at BRIS, Glada Hudik Theatre, Cirkus Cirkör, Friends, and the Suicide Line.

The Inheritance Fund Delegation is the authority that decides on the allocation of project funds to applicant organizations. The Kammarkollegiet is the secretariat of the delegation, and the Inheritance Fund Department at Kammarkollegiet is divided into five units. The three project units and the support and control unit prepare project applications for decision by the Inheritance Fund Delegation. In addition to fund allocation, the department also conducts knowledge dissemination, follow-up and evaluation work, as well as extensive communication activities. The fifth unit, the Inheritance Unit, represents the General Inheritance Fund when it is an heir or beneficiary.

We work in beautiful activity-based premises in Gamla Stan in central Stockholm and also offer the possibility of some remote work.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to work with case management by reading and assessing project applications and preparing decision materials for the Inheritance Fund Delegation. The preparation of applications is done in collaboration with colleagues in the Inheritance Fund Department and through contact with external reference persons.

The decision materials are then presented to the Inheritance Fund Delegation, which is the decision-making authority. As a case officer, you are responsible for and follow the projects from application to final reporting. Projects usually last for three years. Therefore, you will also handle project reports and final reports and support ongoing projects in various ways while they are funded by the fund. Another important part of the case officers' work is to answer questions from those interested in applying for support. Among other things, you will also be involved in staffing the telephone service we offer.

As a case officer, you will also represent the authority in meetings with civil society organizations, participate in the General Inheritance Fund's seminars, conduct project visits, record documents in the authority's filing system, and perform certain other administrative tasks. In the long term, you will also participate in the ongoing operational development work that is taking place. Our projects are located throughout the country, and some travel within Sweden is included in the position.

Are you our new colleague?

  • A university degree or equivalent education that we consider relevant for the position.

    • having worked with project applications and project administration within civil society.
  • You also need to have experience summarizing long texts in an easily understandable way, both orally and in writing.

To fit in the role, you need to have a professional attitude both internally and externally. As a person, you are confident in yourself and your abilities. You are structured, solution-oriented, and have good collaboration skills, but you can also work independently and enjoy doing so.

We place great importance on your personal qualities.
